Dans l’année « Istanbul 2010 - Capitale Européenne de la Culture » Alessandro Mangiarotti invite Zeren Akyar, une commissaire d’Istanbul, à présenter ensemble et pour la première fois à la Galerie YellowFishArt de Montréal, l’exposition d’artistes turques « EMBRACING THE SOLITUDE ».
Ali Umut Ergin & Lorand Revault, Rüveyda Koyuncu, Kerem Can Özmen, Aslı Torcu and Eşref Yıldırım, six artistes turques émergents, prennent d’assault l’espace de la galerie. Leurs oeuvres se définissent par des peintures, vidéos, gravures et installations, offrant aux spectateurs des parcours inédits dans des univers microscopiques, fragiles et psychologiquement solaires.
Cette exposition est la première d’une série de quatre qui sera suqccessivement presenté à Milan, Paris et Istanbul.
Le vernissage aura lieu le jeudi 8 avril 2010 à compter de 17h30.

During the year “Istanbul 2010 - European Capital of Culture” and for the first time in Montreal YellowFishArt Galerie presents Turkish artists contemporary art show «EMBRACING THE SOLITUDE»
Alessandro Mangiarotti invites Istanbul’s curator Zeren Akyar to present six emerging Turkish artists to invade the gallery with their paintings, video, prints and installations. The show is the first of a series of four that will be presented in Milano, Paris and Istanbul. The invited artists are : Ali Umut Ergin & Lorand Revault, Rüveyda Koyuncu, Kerem Can Özmen, Aslı Torcu and Eşref Yıldırım.
